Dear friends & family,
We want to talk about the growing concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19). The truth is that “I Said Sit!” has always and continues to clean with top of the line cleaning products that protect against a long list of viruses. I did a lot of research and consulted the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis when selecting cleaning products and establishing protocols in using them.
Your dogs are our business and you are all a part of our family. We want to keep our family safe. Our normal standard operating procedures include sanitizing the facility during the day and a deep cleaning at night. We have and continue to provide a clean and safe environment for your dogs.
During these high-risk times we are:
- Increasing the frequency of our cleaning operations and scheduling specific times to focus on commonly touched surfaces.
- Continuing to provide hand sanitizer at the front desk for customers and team members.
- Talking as a team about making sure to wash hands frequently, avoid large gatherings and follow health agency recommendations.
- Asking staff to stay home at any sign of illness.
- Spraying collars, leashes, and harnesses with our cleaning products periodically as part of high touch surfaces to be cleaned.
We are referring to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and other public health agencies to determine if we want to adjust any of our standard operating procedures. At this time, based on current recommendations and our own standards and practices, we remain open for business and are here for you and your dogs. We will be monitoring the situation as it is evolving and provide an update if we feel it necessary to make adjustments that may affect you.

Our business is not one where we get to work from home, we need to be here to take care of your dogs, and we intend to do so in conjunction with health agency recommendations. I’d like to personally thank each one of you who are supporting us by allowing us to care for your dog. Several clients have already expressed relief knowing we will be here for them. We thank you for being the reason we get to do what we love and share our days your dogs.
